The first Happy Ever After story I heard was back in 1998. I was interning at a health organization in Vermont, and one of the nurses confided in me that she had met her husband on-line. Do you think you’re going to meet someone on your trip? Perhaps you will. But, how great would it be to create your profile and say, “If I don’t get back to you right away, it’s because I’m otter-watching in the jungle of Peru!” Okay, maybe that’s more random than great, but give it a go anyway.

3. I’ve already tried JDate and it didn’t work.
Have you ever been on a diet? Which one? If that one didn’t help you lose 5 pounds, does that mean you just gave up on dieting completely? Of course not. If you did, you’d be a lazy quitter who was just making excuses. Guess what? You’re a lazy quitter who’s just making excuses not to do internet dating.
